The field of advanced technology in manufacturing, healthcare, construction and information technology is booming in the Shenandoah Valley. Unfortunately, there is a growing shortage of skilled employees in these industries. The Shenandoah Valley 21st Century Workforce Transitions Project has partnered with the Virginia Manufacturers Association to bring the Dream It Do It Virginia campaign to the Valley to:

  • Promote an accurate image of the 21st Century advanced technology economy
  • Broaden awareness of advanced technology and skilled trades careers in our region
  • Promote local training and employment opportunities for careers in advanced technology and the skilled trades
  • Connect job-seekers with local employers who are in demand for skilled trades employees

The idea behind Dream !t Do !t is simple: Whatever it is young people are passionate about, whether it is cars, computers, music or even art, they can find a great career doing it in today's advanced technology. Now more than ever, advanced technology offers our best and brightest the opportunity to follow their passion and be nicely rewarded.
